SPRAY TECHNICIAN

The Links at Penn Hills is currently looking to fill the position of SPRAY TECHNICIAN at their 18-hole, semi-private course in Shubenacadie NS. This position is full-time, seasonal with a competitive wage/salary.

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:
Possess a valid NS Pesticide Applicator's Licence.
Have a minimum 2 years experience handling, mixing and applying registered pesticides and foliar nutrients.
Have the ability to calibrate a sprayer.
Have the ability to identify various turfgrass pests and implement a course of action.
Possess superior record keeping skills.

The person considering this position must have excellent communication skills and a hard work ethic. This position is recommended to an individual who wishes to advance in this industry and would consider future promotion to the Assistant Superintendent position at Penn Hills.

Again, a competitive wage/salary package is offered based on industry knowledge and work experiences.

MILL RIDGE GOLF COURSE
SPRAY TECHNICIAN

Mill Ridge Golf Course located in picturesque Chester Nova Scotia is seeking full-time, seasonal Spray Technician. Mill Ridge Golf Course is a private, 18 hole bentgrass golf course.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least (2) years experience with the application and handling of pesticides and/ or foliar fertilizers and amendments.
- Knowledge of various turfgrass diseases and insects
- Ability to calibrate various types of sprayers and keep accurate application records
- Working knowledge of any applicable legislation/regulations including Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Valid Nova Scotia Drivers License
- Valid Nova Scotia Pesticide Applicators License
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to work variable work schedules

The ideal candidate must be a team player possessing good communication skills and must have the ability to work independently.
